Smart Elevator IoT Terminal Solution

Bohe’s smart elevator digital signage solution supports dynamic multimedia content display, touch-based human-computer interaction, and remote/centralized management. Emerging technologies such as facial recognition, real-time data analysis, and perceptual computing are also incorporated into the solution. This solution combines safety monitoring with commercial advertising. Remote monitoring of elevators ensures safe operation and prevents accidents. This new media platform also allows for both public welfare and commercial advertising, generating a reasonable return on investment. This facilitates the long-term operation and maintenance of the elevator IoT safety monitoring system, achieving an organic combination of safety, public welfare, and commercial operations.

Demand Analysis

With the intelligent upgrades of commercial display terminal equipment and the continuous improvement of services, the function of digital signage in elevator cabins is no longer limited to advertising. As we all know, with the widespread use of elevators in urban areas, elevator accidents are becoming increasingly common. Against this backdrop, Visiontech has launched a smart elevator digital signage solution. This intelligently upgraded digital signage integrates digital information dissemination, intelligent elevator safety, and integrated emergency rescue capabilities. Under normal circumstances, it supports broadcasting news, building management announcements, service information, safety tips, commercials, and weather forecasts. In the event of an elevator malfunction, the digital signage can function as an emergency device, supporting one-touch alarms and emergency guides.

Solution Overview

Bohe’s smart elevator digital signage solution supports dynamic multimedia content display, touch-screen human-computer interaction, and remote/centralized management. Emerging technologies such as facial recognition, real-time data analysis, and perceptual computing are also incorporated into the solution. This combines safety monitoring with commercial advertising, ensuring safe elevator operation and preventing accidents through remote monitoring. This new media platform can also be used for both public welfare and commercial advertising, generating a reasonable return on investment. This facilitates the long-term operation and maintenance of the elevator IoT safety monitoring system, achieving an organic combination of safety, public welfare, and commercial operations.

Solution Construction

MIPS multimedia information publishing software, Visiontech motherboard (box or complete), and computer host (server).

Solution Features

1. One-Click Alarm

Supports a one-click alarm function. When an elevator malfunction occurs, trapped personnel can immediately contact emergency personnel by clicking the alarm button on their terminal device. Once the terminal confirms the alarm, it automatically dials the preset emergency number in sequence. If the call is not connected, it automatically sends a message to the corresponding rescue personnel’s mobile number, ensuring timely rescue of the trapped personnel.

2. Comforting Video

When the trapped personnel alerts the alarm, the terminal device automatically plays a video, such as an elevator emergency guide, to comfort and calm the trapped personnel. Voice instructions are provided for the correct handling method in the current situation, preventing the trapped personnel from making mistakes due to stress and causing accidents. The system supports presetting one or more (up to five) comforting videos, which are played in a sequential rotation. If no comforting video is set, the default comforting image will be played when the terminal dials the emergency number.

3. Visual Intercom
The system supports video intercom, allowing rescue personnel to initiate a direct video call with the digital signage terminal in the elevator. The screen will display real-time footage from both sides of the video intercom, split into two sections. The terminal’s advertising display will automatically switch from the ad playback interface to the video intercom screen, displaying the real-time footage from both sides. The video call can then begin.

4. Alarm Recording
When an alarm is triggered by a terminal, the system will automatically generate a rescue video during the alarm process, allowing rescue personnel to view the corresponding alarm recordings through the system. Each alarm recording records the entire alarm process from the moment the alarm is confirmed to the moment it is completed. These recordings can be used as evidence for retrospective purposes and are essential records for elevator maintenance.

5. Targeted Marketing Based on Facial Recognition
The Simeitai Smart Elevator IoT Terminal Solution supports targeted marketing based on facial recognition, based on the RK3288 series AI hardware platform. Its facial recognition technology utilizes SenseTime’s algorithms and is equipped with a world-leading computing model, achieving an accuracy rate of 99.53%, exceeding the human eye’s ability to recognize faces. It can adapt to various real-world conditions, including wide-angle side profiles, dramatic facial expressions, occlusion, blur, and changes in brightness. The elevator’s intelligent interactive terminal camera automatically captures facial images within the cabin. By locating 21, 106, and 240 key facial features, such as the eyes, mouth, and nose, within milliseconds, it captures facial features such as gender and age. Within 1-2 seconds, it automatically switches to targeted content, maximizing the effective reach of advertising and improving conversion rates.

6. Customer Flow Statistics
Users can use the elevator digital signage terminal to collect customer flow data. Customer Flow Statistics includes three sections: Real-time Customer Flow Statistics, Customer Flow Trends, and Dwell Time. By analyzing customer flow patterns over different time periods, users can plan future activities more scientifically and accurately, maximizing efficiency.

7. Multimedia Information Distribution

Supports multiple elements, including video, images, audio, web pages, live streams, documents, weather, subtitles, time, and HDMI input, and supports editing of interactive programs.

8. Media and Property Management Operate on the Same Platform
Unlike the traditional model where media companies solely operate elevator terminals, the Visiontech Smart Elevator IoT Terminal Solution allows media companies and property management companies to manage them independently on the same platform. This means that the media operating company is responsible for the operation and management of commercial advertising, while the property management company is responsible for elevator operation and maintenance. This allows for real-time public welfare information such as water and power outage notices and extreme weather warnings, as well as elevator safety management features such as one-touch alarms and video intercoms. This new, shared platform operation model will create a win-win situation for all parties.

9. Multi-screen Display
Supports customizable split-screen functionality. Screen areas can be divided arbitrarily, with any combination of horizontal and vertical screens and resolutions. Multiple screens can play videos, music, and images simultaneously without interfering with each other. It supports the combined use of information distribution, touch-based search, and interactive features. Specific playback schedules can be set for each screen, enabling diversified operational functions.

10. NFC Function

This solution supports custom NFC functionality. Users can wave their phone over the digital signage screen to access further product or service information and obtain more information. It also supports integration with online shopping platforms, allowing users to engage with promotional information while also driving actual purchases, thereby increasing advertising conversion rates.

11. Floor Display

This solution integrates with the elevator backend to obtain real-time elevator operating status and support floor display. Digital or audio information about the elevator’s up and down movements is integrated into the multimedia publishing system. This displays the elevator’s up and down movements and the floors it stops on the display terminal, along with multimedia advertisements.

12. Data Monitoring

This solution provides data monitoring support, using cameras to capture data within the elevator car. This facilitates centralized community surveillance and allows for monitoring of people entering and exiting the elevator. Video recordings can be stored for future reference.

13. Touchscreen Interactive Value-Added Services

This solution supports indoor navigation maps for each floor, as well as information about advertisements, events, and other businesses on that floor. Users can tap the screen while riding the elevator to access information and services.

14. P2P Download and Resumable Download
This feature supports data sharing between terminals, improving program download speeds, reducing server publishing pressure and bandwidth requirements, and saving costs. It also supports receiving previously sent offline commands and continuing to receive unfinished programs after reconnecting to the network.
